Boom Pole unloading

   / Boom Pole unloading #11
My boom pole had an adjustable link under the arm. I replaced it with a hydraulic unit [a hydraulic jack with a longer stroke and a hole on each end for a pin] from Rural King. It is the next best thing to a hydraulic top link and 1/4th the price.

I've lifted up to 800# with a boom pole and a CUT.. just watcht he front wheels. Also.. some poles have a 2nd mounting point farther away from the end so there is less mechanical advantage. You can add this 2nd lift point with a piece of rebar bent into a V with some legs to either side.. then just weld on..

I plan on getting a United Box Blade and a boom pole. I don't have a FEL on my tractor or any front weights. If I take it slowly should I be able to lift(slide) the box blade off of my old truck without much problem. I could care less about the damage to the truck its breaking my tractor that worries me. Is this the way to do it? Kubota L3400
