HELLO TO ALL,
i posted this on the regular discussion group, and did not get any response.
has anyone installed a top,N,tilt on a L3000DT? if so, what parts did you use,
and where did you tap into the hydraulic system? i would appreciate any
information, and details on how you did this. thanks.

William,

You may not get specifics on a L3000, but, there are some great threads on Top-n-Tilt. Give the search mechanism a try...

For sure Bird built/installed his own T&T on his B2710. I forget what it cost him to do it, but I seem to recall something in the neghborhood of $700 or $800. I got a Gearmore T&T for my B7500 when I bought her. It ran nearly $1000 (installed), but I also got quotes for the same thing down near $750 (and up to $1250).

GlueGuy is right. I spent about $800 on my B2710; haven't responded to your question before because I'm not familiar enough with your tractor. On the B series (and quite possibly the L series also), there are two ways to get the hydraulic power to the new valve(s). One is to disconnect the Power Beyond hose from your loader valve, run a hose from there to the Inlet side of the new valve, then a hose from the Outlet side of the new valve back to where the other end of the original Power Beyond hose goes now. The other way (which I used) is to buy the optional hydraulic outlet block from Kubota (two bolts to remove existing cover and bolt the block on in its place). It comes with instructions and you run your Inlet and Outlet hoses to and from that block.

HELLO AGAIN,
slightly off the subject, but i recall looking at some hydraulic information that
gave all of the names, and types of valves, and other good stuff, and i was going to
copy this, but did not, and now i am still looking for this, but have not found it.
does anybody recall seeing this, and if so, can you tell me where i might find it.
i need to study this information before i do anything to my tractor. thanks.

Here is my homemade top n'tilt on my l35. Total cost $550, and all the parts are new. The valve has been altered so the box can float from side to side when in the float position. If anyone wants the parts and price list just ask and I will get that info out. Just keep in mind that there is a great deal of time in making something like this from scratch.

Billtech,

Try again, inquiring minds want to see. I am not the one to ask, but some of the photo gurus can help if you explain how you are doing it.
