I just bought an old Massey Ferguson Model 29 offset disc harrow. It has hydraulic wheels and 18 24" discs. Does anyone know much about this model? I believe it was made in the early 1960's. I'm wondering about replacement parts (although it is in pretty good shape now).

I'll be pulling it with a Kubota M6800 4wd.

Thanks

Best I can do is a 1966 and 1972 machinery guide that shows the entire MF line-up. In '66 they show a model 38 and a model 34 offset disc. (34 being 3-point, 38 is drawn) In '72 they show a model 30 and a model 40 offset drawn type, and a model 41/42, also drawn. No reference to a model 29.

I don't think you will have much trouble finding parts. Mostly what you will need might be bearings and pans. Those can be had from nearly any farm supply/equipment dealer. We have a model 52 Massey disc and I have recently put fresh bearings and pans on the front 4 gangs. Carried the bearings to a local bearing supply house and got the pans from the New Holland dealer. Oh,, when you do need parts, Dad always said "carry the old one w/ you for a pattern"... it will cut down on research time at the parts counter.
