We sell Muratori tillers and find them to be excellent. No probelms with them ever. We also sell other brands and I really like the Muratori the best.

Thanks Maka - Can you elaborate on if/how the 60" non-offsetting model (i.e., No "S" in model number) can still be offset up to 4 inches? I can't figure it out from the photos.

I've had a Muratori 58/60" for two years now and it works fine. As long as the slip clutch is working right you should have no problems. Mine came with a nice slip clutch and it works great. I tilled up a 1/2 acre or more of turf/pasture this month and it had no problems. I've hit big stumps, roots, and rocks and it just bounces over them or the slip clutch gives way.

You offset the tiller by moving the 3 point lift arm mount points. They are mounted on a square tube using u-bolts so you just loosen them and offset them accordingly. The 4" limit is more to do with the offsetting of your PTO shaft than anything.

I got mine from my dealer so it just came bare.

No complaints at all.

Thanks very much Paul. Now I get it. I should have guessed that little trick from the pix:

You also mentioned 58" vs. 60". I guess 60" advertised width is really 58" real width? :( I need an absolute minimum of 34" on the offset side... really more like 35" or 36" in softer soil! Will the MZ4-145 achieve this... i.e., 29" center-to-side plus 5-6 inches of stretch?

Seems a little risky... yes? I think I better look hard at the "S" model. :) Don't like such a short PTO shaft offset that much.

I just got a bx25 that I love, a land pride 48" mower, land pride rear blade and a land pride auger... and a muratori rototiller................

Well everything works very good...EXCEPT.. that Muratori... what a piece of junk that is...
hooking it up was easy, lined up well, untill I had to put the PTO on... The rototiller has a spring loaded ring that must be fully engaged and while trying to hold back this ring you have to try a put it on the shaft... two hours later it was on...............

first time out 2 minutes into tilling, the shear pin went and that was while digging 2" into sandy soil... then a few minutes later, the stand came off... lost in the field forever... then the 3 nuts came off from the gear box (now remember, I have just started using this machine about 15 minutes ago). After noticing the small nuts gone, I looked at the other bolts and noticed one of the nuts and bolts for the adjustment was GONE..

I have a total of 35 minutes on this junk, and i HATE it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am loading it up in the pickup and hauling this hunk of junk back to the dealer........

Mine was damaged in shipment but the dealer sent replacement parts ( a few bent items like lifting eye) and a can of orange paint to fix a few scratches.
It has been working fine for several years.
The pto shaft ring is VERY hard to attach as mentioned.
