Couple of thoughts:
-Try only using one ripper on the right side and make multiple passes ... sounds like the right side may be making the left side go down because it can't dig enough. Once the right side bites, it'll pull itself into the ground.
-Yeh, I'd probably try lowering a reversed left ripper also.
-If you need more tilt, you may be able to remove the left link, jack it up higher and chain it in place ... never tried it but would if needed.
