OK, I want to clear one thing up right off the bat. I grew up in the city...Huntington Beach, CA to be exact and lived in a 2bdrm apt with my single Mother and 2 brothers, no yard. I moved to the East Coast, made a bunch of money and told myself that I would buy 5 acres of land and a tractor, build a big house and be happy.

I've pretty much done all of that...house, 5 acres, tractor and am somewhat happy...except for the tractor. I bought a Kubota BX2200 with a snowplow attachment, 60" mowing deck, and a Woods PTO chipper. I know what you are thinking...what a dummy. Why would a knucklehead city kid go out and buy a bunch of stuff he has no experience using. The dealer looked at me pretty much the same way, like I had two heads. I tried to act like I knew what I was doing, but I'm sure they chuckled pretty hard when I left the place.

Anyway, last year, I took the backhoe off of my tractor to put the arm thingys on (PTO I guess) so that I could attach my chipper. BTW, taking that chipper on and off to mow the lawn really sucks. I am definitely going to investigate that Pat's doohickie thing. Now, I want to put my backhoe back on to my tractor so I can move it into the new garage. So, I took the chipper off and the arm things, but sat scratching my head for two hours trying to figure out how to re-attach the backhoe. There were some instructions on the side of the backhoe, but it might as well be in Chinese. I can't find my owner's manual. So, I looked on the internet trying to find better instructions and hopefully, some pictures on how to put it back on. I googled and yahoo'd all day and could find nothing. Here's the question...Anyone know where I could get good detailed instructions on how to re-install the backhoe? Pictures would be a major plus. I am too embarrassed to call the dealer and have them come out to do it.
Thanks...

Welcome to the site.

I assume your post is serious, though it sounds like someone trying to be cute.

It's a good thing you have a lot of money, cuz you might hurt yourself or break your equipment if you don't get thoroughly familiar with the safe operation of it.

I urge you to find your manuals or get some more; then study them! Then have the dealer or someone that knows safe operations show you how to attach and remove each piece, and how to operate it safely.

Don't know about you, but I'd rather suffer from embarrassment than get hurt or dead.

Best wishes,
ron

Ron,
My post is definitely serious. Will take your advice for sure. I called the dealer and they are backlogged for 6 weeks. I need to move the backhoe this week, so I am going to go and try to find another manual. I was hoping to download another from the net, but I can't find anything but shop manuals.

I can not tell if you ae talking about a BX2200 with an aftermarket hoe or a BX22 If it is a BX22 the instructions onthe side of the hoe a far better and more precise than the ones in the manual. The only difference is no pictures. If it is a bx22 I will email you the instructions if you desire. If its aftermarket I got no clue.

The BX2200 doesn't come with a backhoe, but the BX22, BX23, BX24 all do. All other BX models, including BX2200 can take an aftermarket backhoe, in particular the Woods BH6000.

You need to clarify whether you have a BX2200 with aftermarket backhoe (tell the make and model) or a BX22 which comes with a backhoe.

I agree with Ron, you sound so unfamiliar with your equipment that I also wondered whether you were joking. I strongly unge you, please take the time to learn how things work so that you can insure the safety of yourself and others.

I know since he made all that money, it wouldn't be a good idea to tell too many people where he lives (until he has time to spend it all). However, he might live right down the street from me, and I have the afternoon off, and could ride over (or he could send his limo) and we could figure it out together.
Might be a good idea to edit your profile so people know what city/state you are near...

Then it must be a BX22 because the backhoe came with it...not aftermarket. I tried again on Friday to put that thing back on...heading out today to try again. I live in Darnestown, Maryland, so if you live close by then I'll send a driver over to pick you up! I'd even buy you a burger & some fries for your time.
