I think I've read almost every post on the topic, and IslandTractor's great posts and pics convinced me this was the way to go. So I sold my ATI bucket grapple over the weekend, and just put my order in for the Millonzi LD48 grapple with JD quick attach plate. Lead time is 3-4 weeks. When I get a chance to play with it, .... er I mean work with it, I'll post some pics. Thanks all for your input. :D

It seems a lot of the owners on this site are Howa's . Home Owners with acreage, as I am. I have always ordered stuff from dealers so I could go pick it up, having heard that truckers do not like to deliver to residential addresses. Even though I could unload anything I would order I have been hesitant. What has everyone else found ?

It depends on what it is, and the shipper used. I've had some companies (like ABF for the Millonzi) ship directly to my dealer. Other times I've used Overnight Freight, and gone to their service center close to my house and picked it up there.

I live on a state road so truck acess is not an issue. I've had them deliver & also have picked up at the freight terminal. Living North of Boston and near 3 major interstates - most of the freight terminals are w/i 1 hour drive.

If you have a truck or trailer - pick it up at the terminal - then you don't have to skip work to wait for the truck.
