I am passing along specs and information on the new John Deere Gator and Bobcat UTV痴. We just got these specs.
Here's the specs on the John Deere Gator:
-The engine is an in-line 3 cylinder, 815cc, water cooled, automobile engine (Cherry Automotive from China is their engine supplier)
-Dual Overhead Cam, EFI, 4 valves per cylinder
-50hp, 44mph
-Painted interior engine walls for longer life and corrosion resistance
-New hydraulic braking system, with twin piston front callipers
-New cargo box is largest in industry, on all models
-Reverse, brake, and taillights are standard on 855i, options on the other 2 models
-New double wishbone suspension
-New seating options all completely different than what they sell today
-New tire options, including radial tires on alloy wheels
-1400 lb payload, 1500 lb towing capacity, with suspension that can handle the loads.
-New XUVs are all about High Performance, ride, and utility
-Updated chassis of the 2007 version, heavily modified. 100% new front and rear suspension. Front end skin is redesigned to handle wheel travel.
-Same transmission type as previous model. H / L range. Same diff in the front, only engage full locking diff when traction is lost.
-New spring shifter eliminates gear grinding
-There is a whole portfolio of new attachments over 100 most are new to fit the new vehicle. UTV attachment business is significant to Deere.
-Base price: 825i $11,199 / 625i $9,899 / 855i diesel $11,299
