I did the 50 hr service over the weekend but was a quart shy of filling the hydraulic fluid. I picked up a quart yesterday and topped it off. I took off down the road on a test drive and smelled something burning. I assumed it was left over hydraulic fluid from where i drained it (it gets EVERYEWHERE). So i pop open the bed and the flexible dust shield (that i had tucked back to get to the dipstick and filler neck) was on fire!!
I sprayed a bit of water on it and extinguished it. I guess kubota cant make EVERYTHING idiot proof...
2 lessons
1. Do the service in one day so you can remember your steps
2. The exhaust pipe gets really hot and can make the dust cover ignite if it is in contact with it...
