What ATV, side by side or UTV do you have.

Are you kidding me? The belt drive machines work excellent in the snow. You need to know how to drive them, when to use low, and when to use hi.

Only the honda crowd make claims like this!!

Have you ever drove a sled??

I have a Ski Doo snow machine. They are first class.
I noticed you have a 1635 Massey Ferguson.... I almost bought one of those but noticed they belong to the Agco / Iseki group. I didn't wait for the train to stop.... I jumped off ! Good luck.

Honda atv's and utv's are built in Timmonsville, SC (about 40 mins from my house). I think Yamaha and Suzuki build their atv's in GA. Arctic Cat is also made in the USA if I remember correctly. Not sure where kawasaki builds theirs but Can-am is Canadian.

Yeah, Can-Am-Bombardier-BRP is the only major brand I have not owned. I think they
make the biggest ATV now, too, at 1000cc and 1000#. Wow. BRP has a partnership
deal, I believe, with Kymco of Taiwan for one or 2 of their models. Similar to the
Polaris-Aeon Motor deal perhaps.

I don't know where Kawasaki does final assy, either, but I suspect in the US somewhere
for the NA market. I have a KLF220 Bayou, and it is interesting: all mechanical brakes
(no hydraulics). They used to partner with Suzuki on the sporty quads, but I think that
may be over. Kawasaki may be the only major ATV maker with a rear differential...anyone
have a Prairie 300 2WD with the differential option? I would like to hear about that one.

I don't see the comparison between a Gator and a RTV. Certainly they are not in the same class. Owning a 1100 with heat and air I never even considered a Gator. The ride is fine and I use it 100% off road. The snowmobile belt driven models in snow country have limited capabilities.
I have a John Deere tractor and equipment. A Gator, not so much.

That's why there are so many different machines on the market, we can all buy what we like. I had the RTV and it didn't do what I wanted so I went with the Gator....glad that I got my choice.

Moved up from a Yamaha Kodiak to this Grizzly. I really like the bigger engine and the fuel injection. Use it to plow the drive and pull a little dump trailer for yard work. And it's fun just to bop around the property. I think a utv would be overkill for me, but an enclosed cab would be nice plowing snow.

Good point, my Kawasaki has fuel injection, and I wouldn't go back to carburetor.

Before I bought a tractor, I used the Kodiak to pull a BB around to maintain the gravel roads and carve new trails. Can't say that power nor carburetor was ever a problem. Still isn't. If anything, lack of weight was the shortcoming. Just like with a tractor.

I have a 2012 RTV900 Camo w/roof & windshield. I just rolled up 100 hours. I have zero complaints, and love the machine. My prior machine was a Mule 2510, which was bullet proof reliable, but I must say, this RTV900 is superior in every way, with exception of acceleration. The fun factor was greater with the Mule, but this RTV is a workhorse/tank!

ALL Can ams are built in house. Arctic cat has a deal with Kymco for the quads under the 450 cc range. The 443cc in the 500 is a Kymco engine put in the cat chassis by cat. That mill is a little rocket.
