2014 RTV 900 with 2000 hours for 6K???

Would you buy it? Around 6K give or take is the asking price.

It is a lease return from an orchard operation in So Cal. There is actually a large selection of them as the dealership leases 20 to this farm. I of course need to inspect but if it was gas I would pass but diesel with 2K hours...

Equipment operated commercially is almost always operated unmercifully, but Kubota diesel RTVs define "farm tough" utility vehicles.

Not many hours for the diesel engine and HST transmission.

Individual maintenance records available?

How important are cosmetic factors to you? Seats are likely stained and torn. Rust probably not a factor in Southern California unless RTV's were used in fertilizer applications.

Diesel RTV's are loud.

Nice to have numerous vehicles from which to choose. Do some have options others do not, or are all the same?

I doubt the maintenance has been kept up, Kubota have huge list things that needs to be done at 1000 hours. I don't think thats cheap enough unless you get the dealer go through all recommended upkeep. I think you can download the owners manual and look at the schedule.,;

Well, he sent photos and it looks pretty clean. He says that they did the maintenance and have records. As well, when the pull it in off the field they will go through it all and do any final maintenance. 90 day warranty (saddly won't be able to take them up on it as it will be in Portland).

Oh, and this one has 1500 hours and is a 2014. 6.1K dollars not negotiated.

A new unit is $15700.00 configured like one in the pick, you can bye it for $13500.00. That unit is 4 years old if you figure 15% loss each year that comes to $7000.00. That would be for excellent condition low mileage machine retail. So high hours with a complete maintenance record, [get those records and compare to owners manual, kubota like lots of maintence]. So another 15% to 20% for high hours gets you to $5600-$6000. So I would put $5500.00 on table since they have more than one, then wait for call back.

Under the dust this appears to be a unit in good condition. Seats looks very good.

Here is the list of stuff Kubota says to replace at 4 years, this list is from my rtv-x1100c owners manual, you'll see why that company traded at 4 years. Not saying all stuff will break but its what Kubota recommends for machine that is needed for work and not be offline for break downs.

Didn't 2014 have problem with clunking because bad hubs, they switched from alum to castiron.

Well, the deal may be off. If you have not seen we are having some serious fires in So Cal. Got a call from the guy this AM saying they had evacuated the farm and the lots and were not sure if anything would be left when they return.

If the price is what you are comfortable spending, buy the machine. It's barely broke in. Very common to see these machines with 4K+ hours and no major repairs needed.

I'd much rather have a machine from a large operation that has a maintenance program than from an individual that doesn't know how to check the hydraulic fluid level.
