I prefer to use my recoil starter in my Grizzly, as I find that this is one of the best theft prevention devices known for large ATVs. The difficulty of it pretty much rules out any punk kid from taking it off of my farm or out for a joyride!
Anyhow, I was left the other day with the cord somewhere in its' chamber and the rubber T grip in my hand. Bummer! Are these hard to fix? Any insight is appreciated.
I hate using the battery /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif (I just keep saying this to myself and some day I may believe it!).

On my bayou it was very simular to the good old lawn mower my dad had when I was a kid. Just remove the cover and pull your old cable (what is left of it) out, feed your new cable in. put a not in and try and get the spring tension right. Feed the other end thru the cover and the handle. I realized mine had basically rotted because my weep holes were cloged with mud and debris. Clean it up really well.
Good luck, Dave
