Re: Backhoe attachment
Yes you do need brackets! Any skidsteer loader requires use of some type of barcket system to lock the backhoe to the mainframe, other wise the digging pressures can put undo stress on the loader frame. More imprtantly the locking brackets help hold the backhoe in place so it can't push up on the loader and crush you against the cab while you are sitting out front.
What brand? Bobcat makes the 8811 for the S models, but also had the 8811 for the 873 and it used a different bracket system that will not fit up. I'm sure there are other brands such as Bradco & Woods that makes them also but the same thing applies regarding brackets, need to make sure it was mounted to an S220 or larger model Bobcat or consderable rework may be necessary to mount the brackets.Dennis

Re: Backhoe attachment
i just purchased a t250 with the 8811 fit that model? I cant find anything on bobcats website about it fitting that machine. I cant imagine a t250 t300 and t320 not having a backhoe attachment.

Re: Backhoe attachment
8811 is the model to fit those machines, but if getting a used he make sure it is new enough to fit those models (S220 or larger, T250 & up). The 8811 has been around for years but the mounting frame was changed to fit inside the new loader arms on the S & T models. 2002 or newer should be the one that fits.

Re: Backhoe attachment
The 8811 will not fit the S220, the mounts are different. You need an 811 backhoe.
8811 used a center mount that replaces the front step, fits S250/300, T250/300. 811 used the wing mounts, fits S220, A220, 863.

Re: Backhoe attachment
You are correct about the model number change, I had forgotten about that. Bobcat changed the model number of the old 811 to 8811 to designate these fit newer machines and have the lock down brackets in close to the seat. You are, however, incorrect about the S220. The S220 is the same upper (white) main frame and lift arm as the S250.
Attached is the machine model list that 8811 fits on.
The A220 was built using the 863 frame so it requires the 811 hoe.Dennis
