bobcat s205
I have a bobcat s205. I have changed an actuator in it and now have to calibrate it however after the acs starts its check it throws code 32-34 (lift actuator not calibrated) and has locked the control handles. Can't calibrate without them so does anyone know how to get them u locked? Thanks

Make sure if you have hand/foot control that you have hand control selected. Are you following the correct procedure? Key on only, lap bar down, PTO, Handles inboard and HOLD them until finished. Raise and lower lap bar. PTO. three beeps , release handles. cycle key.

Can't get as far as doing the procedure .

Tilt actuator replaced after a lot of mucking around to make sure that was he problem.

If you have a cab door, make sure the door is closed fully latched before starting the calibration sequence.

Technically there is a cab door but it's not on and not connected. It's worked before without it so not sure y it wouldn't work now!

The door sensor only applies to OEM bobcat door work door that has the Bobcat sensor. That sensor sends a signal to controller to lock the ACS if door is open.
Stray voltage or short in the front auxiliary harness can affect the ACS controller as there are 2 12v inputs to the ACS controller and 1 of these is shared with the front AUX wire harness. If you have a 7 or 14 pin harness try unplugging that back engine compartment where it plugs into the loader frame harness.

Any excessive drag in either lift or tilt valve spool can cause the calibration process to abort. 2 of the more common causes of spool drag are; 1 - over torque of the actuator mounting screws. Try loosen each screw slightly (and equally) until you can feel some free play of the actuators (very slight wiggle) then try calibration. If that works tighten each screw about 1/8 turn. 2nd possibility - Leaky oil seal at either end of a spool. If oil enter the spring positioning cap or the actuator end it can create a hydraulic lock preventing full travel of the spool and giving an Out of calibration code or in your case aborting the calibration sequence.
There is also the possibility the lift actuator was border line, close to failing, when the tilt failed and now unable to calibrate correctly.

Thanks for your help. Got it sorted out. Turns out the actuator had the wrong voltage coming out. Fixed that so now it works and is calibrated and back to happy bobcatting!

Glad you got it going.
Please explain how you found the problem and how you fixed it. This may help others that come here looking for assistance.

There is a tiny hole somewhere around the handle control solenoid. You need to use a small pick or a nail or a tiny allen wrench to push in the hole. This unlockes the handles. Guarenteed this is the prob. If you cant find the hole Ill take a pic and and try to post it. But lift the rubber all the way up and its on the electic solenoid thingy
