I am told that the Bobcat is made by Dusan a Korean outfit. Ture?
How does this tractor compare to kubota? Is it priced better? More reliable?

Doosan, a Korean company, outright purchased the 'Bobcat' Company.

The Bobcat Compact Tractors are built by Daedong, also a Korean Company. Daedong has marketed these same tractors for many years now in the USA under the Kioti name. The tractors are, best I can tell, identical cousins with the attachments sourced seperately (Loaders, backhoes, mowers, etc.)

Is it more reliable then Kubota? I would not say more reliable but I would agree that it is as reliable from my experience.
What I can say for a fact is that the comparable Kioti/Bobcat will be cheaper, have more standard options, comparable or higher attachment capacities (loader, backhoe), and a longer warranty (4yr vs. 2yr) which is not cut in half for commercial users like the Kubota warranty.
Kioti makes their own loaders and backhoes where Bobcat's are made by Rhino I believe. Right now, the prices are incredible on Bobcat tractors but be ready for a possible wait of 2-8 weeks for the tractor and maybe more for the rear hydraulic hookups.Derek

From my research, everthing TBDonnelly and Dmace is saying is correct. If you go to the Kioti website, they have quite a bit on info on the Deadong corp.
