Bobcat CT230
Does anyone have a shop manual or parts manual for the Bobcat CT230?
Seems like everything is available on eBay, etc - EXCEPT for the Bobcat
Tractor line.

Anybody know where these manuals might be available (with the exception
of going thru the dealer....)?

Thanks for your replies!

Why not a dealer?

No special reason... except my experience with AUTO DEALERS is that they charge "list price", which is more than I wish to pay. Usually on eBay and Amazon there are folks who buy service manuals, use them a couple of times, and are willing to sell their used books at a discount.

Do you have the BOBCAT CT230 parts and service manuals for sale? How much are they from your shop?

Thanks!

Has anybody bought the manuals? How expensive were they?

Just got back an email from the dealer on some parts for my CT230.
The manual costs $97.39, plus shipping!

On a similar note:
Last week I called a dealer in another state who said he ALSO wished Bobcat would add an on-line parts listing/diagrams as John Deere and New Holland already have. I don't know what the secret is on parts. I would like to be able to look up my own parts, see the list price, and THEN call to order... wouldn't you?

That sucks. Priced very similarly to car service manuals. I think the most I paid for a Honda factory manual was $120. It's worth it if it can save you two hours of shop time, but other than that it's tough to pay it.

I paid $100 for my 335 manual. It was VERY worth it when I put a stick through the radiator--step by step with pics. I am handy with house stuff but adequate with vehicles--helped by comfort level in doing my own work.

Thanks for the info.... I have not seen the Bobcat tractor manuals, so I didn't know if they were worthwhile, or just "generalized" manuals. I have seen posts on other manufacturers where the manuals were very poor quality (not to mention they were not translated correctly!). None of these posts addressed BOBCAT CT tractors specifically.

Again, thanks for your input - specific to my post.:)

PACKRAT, I have the parts and service manuals for the Kioti CK30, and they
aren't bad. It is important to have both if you are serious about maintaining
and fixing your machine. I do not know if Bobcat will make any changes to
the manuals....I doubt they will and I will not be buying them for the CT230
I ordered. I will be depending on my Kioti manuals.

A frequent TBN poster (KiotiJohn) helped to edit at least one of the Kioti
service manuals years ago. He no longer posts on TBN, but I suspect he
still visits the site. He was a very valuable contributor and is missed.
