Hood Pins
I pulled off the hood to make it easier to work on a coolant leak on my CT230 and am having a very tough time lining up the pins for reassembly. Does anybody have any ideas or tricks? Ive tried inserting a tapered punch to line everything up but the pins seem to be fit very tightly. Before i grind a larger taper on the pins i thought i would ask.
Thanks

Re: Hood Pins
Sounds like you are on the right track with a punch. Do you have a helper, that may make things easier.

Re: Hood Pins
Played around with the tractor this weekend and wanted to follow up to maybe save somebody some aggravation. If you tilt the hood to maybe around 75 degrees, the pins will line up and inserting them is easy. Installing them or removing them at normal angles or less will be much more difficult.
