I thought my Lil 225 was good for 1400lbs, lifting.
Figured just going 200lbs more she'd lift a round bale of hay off my trailer, NOT HAPPENING!
I've always bought 800 lbs. But farmer is going scared selling to much because he has cattle. We went in drought this summer.
So my neighbor only bales 1600lb ers.
Thought I'd try.
Just did the rolling thing!
Always heard next model up 230 was much stronger.
Heck my old 48 8n picked up 1600.
Just couldn't drive anywhere.
I'm on a slope.
Oh well, live and learn!

The 230 & 235 have the same 7TL loader and hydraulic system as the 225 so no difference in lift capability.

Might have to go with a 3 point bale spear. It should do it.

It's amazing what these little tractors will lift. I have definitely put mine to the limit.
If you run your throttle too full you get maximum lift capacity.

I was able to get a 1800 pound antenna off the ground about a foot with my forks on lifting very close to the loader arms.
My forks are the lighter weight ones not the heavy bobcat ones.
But it didn't like it.

Wow, I just ran to the RED dot on the rpms. Did not try full throttle. Duh!
Next bale I will go FULL THROTTLE!
Thanks for that tip!

I just ran it to the RED dot on RPM'S.
Thanks for the tip

Hmmm, relief valve should relieve even at lower rpm. At least that is my opinion. That is what should have control over how much you can lift.
