I have a 6TB backhoe attached to my CT235. The control valve is leaking and I would like to rebuild it but the rebuild kit is over 3,000.00 through Bobcat. Its a old Rhino backhoe but they don't make them any more. Anyone have any ideas as to how I could get parts other then through Bobcat?

The one piece valve is not serviceable. 3k is for new valve that replaces it.

I would seek out a hydraulic shop for parts options or a more reasonable and newer style serviceable replacement control valve.

Define the leak?

Is it leaking oil externally? If so.....its probably just common 50 cent o-rings that seal the spools.

If its leaking internally.....meaning weak hydraulics....stuff leaking down.....etc.....then that isnt something that is serviceable on any common spool valve....and replacement is the only solution

Looks like it is the "Valve, Section Float" on the second section". Bobcat has the part for
about $1,000. I'll try agaparts.com see if they have it any cheaper.

That's still way too much, IMO.

As a benchmark, you can replace your whole hoe valve stack with a 12 GPM Prince 6-spool setup from
Surplus Center for $800. There is an active thread on TBN right now on that.

My hoe valve leaks now, too, but it will have to leak more before it becomes a repair
necessity.
