I seem to remember at least one member bought the atvexpress versions and wasn't happy with them.
Something to think about, companies like PATG's support this site and allow us to participate without cost. It's good to support TBN members.

Kendrick,

Yes, we have the cat #1-#2 (model #112). We have them in stock and can ship UPS. Just call the office at 888-243-4204 and we can take care of you.

As to the money trail, it is like shooting at a moving target. They use addresses that aren't real or are vacant. Ebay is like no help. The Butler county Tennessee authorities have tried to locate them because they have no record of them paying taxes and their business license has been suspended for years. I didn't have a problem with them selling the cheap Chinese ones that didn't rip off my patent, but when I started getting calls and emails that they had copied my design down to putting my name on them, I got upset. I have had a couple of people send me the ones that they have received and they have my copied my instructions and left my name on them. According to the FBI that is fraud. But it all comes down to money. I have spent a lot of money trying to track them down and stop them and there comes a point that they wear you down. Attornies don't come cheap. Well, that is my rant for the day. Thanks for listening.

I am sorry you got taken advantage of after spending the time and money to do it the right way. People that do that are lower than a snakes belly. Maybe everyone on the forum can keep an eye out and send you a message when the guy comes up out of his hole.

I know from personal experience that Pat's customer service is second to none. Think about that when deciding which hitch to purchase.

Pat,

I just wanted to thank you for your earlier post in which you made it clear that the EZ-HITCH sold at CARTERANDSONSLLC.COM is in no way affiliated with the cheap pieces of crap sold by ATVEXPRESS.

We too try our best to make sure that every customer is 100% satisfied with their purchase, and while our operation is tiny compared to yours we still take great pride in knowing that the customers needs have always come first!

Thanks again,

Seriously, all I did was bore the hole in the flat stock 15/16", then cut straight in from the end with an angle grinder w/ a cutting wheel. Then I cut one of the legs shorter. It didn't take too long and only a couple of wheels. I've got a friend with a milling machine, ifI make another set, I'll pay him a visit.

That is how we make them... with a milling machine.

Also, thanks for atleast mentioning that you copied ours.

EZ on thing that caught my eye with the express ones was that they had the "j" on the end of the channel. It seems to me that that way to mount it would be more difficult and depend on the welds a bit more that on top.

But I suspect this was done to make it appear that it was not a patented item.
And thanks for the offer for parts purchases, while the price isn't what scars me away, I'm sure its nice to have an option for someone who does have allot of cash to spend.
The offer of allowing someone to buy the parts, alone to me is a good indicator of a company's customer care.

Putting the "J-Hook" on top keeps the user from having to extend or buy a new top link and pto shaft. We have never had issues with the welds.

I guess I didn't word it right. I wasn't referring to yours. I meant the 'copycat' ones.they seem to have taken your idea and used a different version of it. Thats what I meant.
My point with the welds was that with it being on the top the weight isn't as prone to be affected by the welds.
Hope you didn't take it wrong. I was attempting to give a good comment
