JD 2320
Back in 1988 when I bought my JD 650 I could not afford to buy a plow so I made one. Originally I had made the blade and A-frame to attach to a bracket for attaching to the 650 loader arms, that proved out to be futile.
Plow face is 5.5 feet, made it out of an old steel tank. Been using this plow for 20 years and I am just about done modifying the mountings to fit the 2320.
The belly mount I made to contour to the 650 and of course would not work with the 2320.
I chopped the back half of the old belly mount off added a cross member and it now attaches to the backhoe mounts using the 1.125-inch pins that are used for the mounting of the backhoe to the loader arms. Also needed to make a front mount for the lift piston and bracket. Not great but worked really well on the 650. Haven't decided on a color for the front yet.

Thanks Ken;)
I know next time I'm buying the Deere blade even though I don't like them. Will not do a rework or a DIY build again, waaaay too much work.

Gizmo, Looks really good, why was attaching the plow to the FEL arms futile?

Thanks,
My theory is the loader arms on JD tractors are far to close to the front of the tractor when in the down position. The entire tractor wanted to drive over the blade the minute the blade started to trip down, which was constantly. Pushing from the height where the loader arms mount is far too high. Maybe it was my design but I'm thinking not. As the pictures show I had to add the back half of the A-frame with mounting ears for the current setup. The two holes on either side on the top of the A-frame were used to mount the A-frame to the loader attachment.

That was my experience when I had built the FEL Blade for my tractor. I never could get it right. I think these tractors are just to light for this setup-I have written about this a lot before...

I was given a FEL snow plow that my uncle had made for his older BX model tractor. I have yet to get around to adapting it for the BX24 FEL maybe its not worth the effort to do so and to look into something different
