forks & round bale spear JD 300,400 500 loaders

Here is my first try at a loader part. its a pallet fork and/or round bale spear.

I'm looking to do the same thing but was wondering what your forks are hanging on? If that standard forklift plate or just flat stock? I was thinking of getting some heavy angle iron for mine but wasn't sure.

I want to do the same with bale spear and forks on the same attachment or frame that I already have.

its just 1/2 x4 mild steel with the slots torched out. I have had over 3000 lb on it they held fine.
