Re: Foam marker for sprayers
HRcarver, does the tire valve push in from outside the tank, or does it pull through from the inside? Most valves I've seen at the tire dealer pull through from the rear of the rim and sort of snap in place when pulled through the hole. Any help or insight would be helpful. I have all the pieces except the tire valve that I want to try out tomorrow.

If mankind minus one were of one opinion, then mankind is no more justified in silencing the one than the one - if he had the power - would be justified in silencing mankind.

Re: Foam marker for sprayers
Yes from the inside. Just some careful jiggling, and a long screwdriver to help guide it. After you get it started, you can pull it through with some pliers.
Here is a link from a different forum where some improvements were discussed.

Mine doesn't leak bad if you screw the top on just right, but it does leak some.

bump the thread
Am building one now, almost complete. This thread and links tell all. I'm getting ready to spray and recalled this thread from some years ago, need foam marker. Ideas I am using include:
use old 5 gal fuel container
aquarium or tire pump for air supply, I'm trying both
run air hose to bottom of can thru screw top air intake
use aquarium air stones to start with micro bubbles, lead weights on stones
use dawn dishwasher soap
use o rings on spout and screw air intake to achieve air tight fit
use PVC large inverted cone with mesh covering to get large globs of foam
planning on foam blobs down center of RTV travel path
broadcast sprayer with 40 ft swath.jLast edited by texasjohn; 03-02-2013 at 08:35 AM.
