Cub Cadet 1872
I've been reading posts on TBN for some time now. Thought I would join so I could share my recent build. I only have very basic fab tools so that limited how elaborate I could get, but I'm still very happy with the way it came out. By the way, this is on my cub cadet 1872.

As many as you can if they are of stuff like this! Nice build, by the way. In the third photo it looks like you have an actuator link (disconnected) that will raise/lower the hitch via the rock shaft - will that be connected to a lever?

Nice job..I can't wait to see what you can make with more advanced Fab Tools.

It connects to the single lift hydraulic cylinder in the middle of the frame. It lifts the mower deck, the snow plow, and the 3 point

Good thinking and good work. It looks like you could disconnect the cylinder pushbar from the from the 3-point lift with a pin and just leave it in place when you weren't using the 3-point? That way your lift cylinder could be used for other things. Might need a prop to hold the 3-point up so you could leave an implement on it. Couldn't tell - did you weld ball-ends on the lower links?

I was thinking about removing two pins that hold the lift links and just taking them out then make a couple of short chains that will connect to the top link plate to hold the 3pt up when not in use. The factory rock shaft for the cylinder is made in 2 pieces so I can lock the 60" mower deck up and still use the 3pt. Just not the other way around. And yes there are swivel balls on the lower lift arms.

I just don't have space for anything more than hand held tools. Everything was cut with a 4 1/2" angle grinder and drilled with a cordless drill and welded with my Lincoln 220

I had to build this thing to bend the lower arms.

Just put together a combination sleeve hitch / 2" receiver adapter for the 3pt. I will still have to reinforce the 5/8 holes with some heavy washers. Or is that even necessary?
