Klondike Sleigh build for boy scouts
At Christmas My grandsons asked if I could help them build a Sleigh for a camp out in the mountains. Its fully framed , today they will come over an finish sand an put a coat of sealer on it.Should be fun.
Parts are steam bent ash I sawed a few years ago. The straight parts are laminated hart pine.
Ill add wheels this week.

as usual very nice work. I really enjoy seeing your talents Army Grunt. I also have a fondness for working with wood, just something about the smell of saw dust in the morn

Re: Klondike Sleigh build for boy scouts
Very nice i loved the klondike derbys we would have. We damaged a sled one year and replaced it with old skis, the wax on the bottom made it so much easier to pull.
Great job, they will love it.

I built the sled so it could be taken apart easy, so the scouts could help sand an assemble it. Yesterday was the day. It was great.I marked all parts an let them have at it, then they laced it together, an put a coat of sealer on it.It was fun to here the comments. One boy kept saying "This is great look what we built"

Nice project, made better by it being a Scout project. Those kids are lucky to have someone like you to work with.
