Log splitter with lift table and 4 way wedge
Just finished my log splitter except for cleaning up and painting. It has a Honda GX390 with Haldex 22 gpm pump. Using a 4 x 24 cylinder for splitting along with a 2 x 6 inch cylinder for the lift table and a 2 x 6 inch cylinder for the 4 way wedge.

Re: Log splitter with lift table and 4 way wedge
Thanks, I have most of the bugs out of it. It works pretty good. Going to make another one similar to this one to sale.

Re: Log splitter with lift table and 4 way wedge
looks like quite a machine.
1 thing you might consider is some teeth on the pusher foot (or whatever it is called) the keep the log held a little more securely

Nice overall design.
One caveat....unless those street-ells are forged steel, I'd get rid of them (if malleable/cast iron). They look like light-duty cast water pipe fittings?"We, the Unwilling, Led by the Unknowing, set off to accomplish the impossible...the difficult...we do immediatly....the impossible just takes a little longer"

Re: Log splitter with lift table and 4 way wedge
You are correct. I do have some bad fittings. Kind of run out of funds at the end of the project. I am going to replace them before I paint the splitter. Also, I have a galvanized fitting or two and they contaminate the hydraulic oil if left in too long. Thanks for the advice.

Nice job!!!! A video of your splitter in action would be some icing on the cake here!
Nothing could be finer than riding my JD790 in South Carolina!!

Nothing runs like a Deere, or smells like a John....

Re: Log splitter with lift table and 4 way wedge
Nice looking splitter! I agree weld on a few jagged pieces to the plate to keep the log from flying out. Some of those pieces can really launch out of there.
