Well after a few long hrs. of welding this boom is better than any I found for sale at farm stores near me. I tested it monday loading a heavy cedar log on my sawmill.
I have never attached an image here before so someone tell me how & I can send a photo so you guys can have a look.

Make sure the picture is under 100K. After you type out your post, click "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file". Locate where the pic is stored, and click it right in.

Or if the pictures are a little bigger go to http://www.dodstudios.net/uploads/upload.php and click browse and locate the pictures. Click on a picture and press ok and then it uploads. Copy and paste the url in a message with

Re: boom design ifo specs

Ok Clint sharpen up your lead. The overall length came in around 10'+ a few inches starting at the pin center points.
8' of 2 x 3 x 3/16 tube & 36" on sloped part I think. Braces
are 1 x 1 x 1/8th x 52"(could be a little longer say 55"). Weld rods were 6013 & was done by stick. 6 5/16 Grab hooks were purchased thru AV(tow industry retailer) D ring on end was a 10K lb rated weld/bolt on from Agri supply co. Lower link steel was 3 x 3 x 1/4 angle steel with pins welded on.
The worst task was cutting the conpound angles on the braces to match the 2 x 3 & the 3 x 3 horz. piece. THL flange pieces were 1/2 x 3 x 16" unwelded with 3/4 galv. bolt. My tractor is the Kioti DK-50.
