JOHN DEERE 2320
Some features of the JD 2320 sold me over the Kubota model in the same catagory/ price range, JD is truely lacking a snow blade that meets my standers for a tractor with this power and size.
Kubota offers a much nicer beefier front snow blade built with work in mind.
In my opinion the mold board is too light weight , not wide enough, tall enough and lacks back ribbing/support for pushing heavier loads like gravel, rocks, soil...
I have seen pictures of the 54" blade with the skid shoe mount(s) broken off at the welds, and the size of the shoe (flat stock) does not have a big enought foot print.
I decided to beef up the mounts and style of shoe used.
i am looking for a 6-7 foot truck blade to modify mounts or may build my own blade in the future
For this year i will be using the 54" till i come up with a replacement and then use the 54" for sidewalks and smaller jobs.
Makes me wish i had just bought the 200cx loader and made my own snow blade with power angle.
pics included.

I agree!

Kubota makes a 60" hydraulic angle quick hitch blade for the bx and smaller Bseries (23-26-2920)
which are both smaller/lighter than your tractor.

The equivalent size price machine would be a 2630-3030

One reason JD turned me off was the wimpy front blower for the 2520. I believe in 2008 the only available front mount was 47"

We have two 2630 Kubota tractors at work with cabs and snow plows.
I liked the drive pedal set-up better on the deere model and the dealer was lower on price than the Kubota dealer.
I did not see the J D blade at the dealer when I purchased my tractor.
It had to be ordered.
I assumed it would be as heavy duty as the Kubotas when I ordered my 2320. Just like the one you pictured.
I am still happy I purchased a new tractor this year, but all items today are being made cheaper/ lighter weight due to cost and competition I guess.
I guess i was hoping for a heavier/ sturdier plow for the price you have to pay for these products.
I can always beef it up in a few years when the finish starts to wear off and repaint it when i am done welding on it.
thanks for the reply
thought i would post just to show others how they might repair theirs if it has broke off at the welds.
Let it snow - let it snow :D

BIG DOOLEY;

You definitely have a top notch tractor; congrats on the purchase!

Good job on the welding also.

Tell you the truth after 4 years of use I still prefer the twin pedal setup of the JD but have gotten use to the rocker type on Kubota.

Guess there is no perfect machine to suit everyone's taste/needs.

Hear that let it snow!

Cheers

Thanks.
Made the parts out of stainless steel and used 309 tig rod to join them to the carbon steel.
Rustolium primer and TSC JD yellow paint.
I read the thread you sent me a short time ago and copied the pictures to my computer pic folder.
I am planning on the same set-up.
I have been calling a craigs list seller in my location trying to get him down on price .
He has a 7 1/2 foot Meyer plow. I will most likely want to make it 6 foot wide if we can meet on a price.
Thanks for the compliment.
