If you want to use it as a weight I would sell or trade it. You could sell it and then make weight from concrete. Hardened edges are hard to come by.
Your absolutly correct. BUT, he wanted and needed, for his application, a nice........neat............straight.............cut. If he cut it with a torch or plasma cutter the cut would be terrible and he would be required to grind it. I repeat...............All other ways would fail to meet his needs..........................................................................................................................Frank
even my powermax30 did a passable job on a 1/2 x 5 snowplow cutting edge. Wasn't sure it would do it. Nice surprise that it could.jimcolt said:<img src="http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=303919"/>
Plasma cut on 3/8 steel. I wouldn't call it terrible and I see no need to grind it. Cut with a Powermax45 from Hypertherm. 30 inches per minute cut speed.
