We decided we needed a pull type scraper for grading. so, bought a 4.5 foot box blade and started work.

Welded up a attachment system for the tongue.

made the tongue out of some galvanized we had laying around.

it is detachable. so that we can still use the BB on the 3pt if we need too.

2x2 1/4 wall welded to a piece of 2" DOM that will be drilled and tapped for grease zirk.
this one will have a small cylinder to create the tilt function.

welded another piece of 2x2 to the BB with DOM bushings welded to it.

Looks good , you do nice work . I assume you used the Hobart I see in one of the pics . Shows that a wire machine will do the heavy stuff .

How do you get it off the lower 3 PH pins. It looks like it is too tight to move far enough to drop one side.

The bottoms look like they are just notched out, undo the top and lifts out

thats basically it, its a piece of 3/4" plate notched and a piece of 1/4" with a notch the other way that swings up and pins in.

Thanks, i used that Hobart Betamig 250 on quite a bit of it. i have several welders, each setup for dfferent things or in different places.

The Betamig has .045 wire in it, so it handles big stuff well, once you get the transformer and arc reactor warmed up she welds real nice.

i also used a Millermatic 252 with .035 in it
Both of them on tri-mix.
i also have a Lincoln Powermate 140 with Flux Core for portable weldng,
a Millermatic 180 with Flux core and CO2,
a Miller Synchrowave300 TIG with Argon,
a Miller Thunderbolt 225 Stick,
and a spoolgun on argon for the 252.

it depends on the job, and where i am which one i use.
the stick and both flux core machines are at the farm.

Great build!!! I have a 6'er built by a local fabrication place. They build them from 4' to 12'. Pull types are the cats meow!!
