Well I fabricated a new brush guard and had it powder coated and installed it today. I cut the curved pieces on my CNC plasma table and welded 2 round pipes and a small square pipe in between. It's solid and I am happy with the way it turned out.

Looks really nice! Excuse my ignorance but what kind of tractor is that?

Looks very nice - like it came with the tractor.

You should be happy. You did a great job.

I have always just painted my projects. Is powder coating expensive? It sure produces a tough finish.

If you damage the coating, can it be touched up with paint?

I have a pretty good source for powder coating and he treats me good as I have a cnc plasma cutting business and he gets all my projects that require powder coating. You can touch up with paint if you need to. I thought about the wire mesh afterwards too. I still may do it later and have the powder coat redone down the road or just build another one.
