source for Linear Actuator?
Folks,
I am looking for a source for electrically powered rams (linear actuators) so that I can make the bed on my Gator dump. Does anyone know of a source?
Thanks,
Larry

Re: source for Linear Actuator?
Used old satellite dishes have them. So do abandoned swing gate operators. I have a bud who just yesterday begged me to give him a hundred dollars for two, two not one, wheel chair lifts for public transit vans. These lifts have a linear actuator that's twelve volt plus a hydraulic pump and a couple of cylinders.
They're a whole bushel basket of projects for the clever type guy.

Check eBay. There are usually a bunch of actuators of all different types available. Many times they sell dirt cheap.
