I started building a receiver hitch for my tractor. I originally started building to see how cheap I could make it for and about half way through building this one I started making plans for building another one. Anyone have any ideas on different things to add or different designs?

Make your ball height adjustable along with the raising and lowering of the three point, and use the three ball, 17/8", 2", and 2 5/16" balls.

You might weld on a few grab hooks. Looks good. Here's mine. I don't have a goose neck trailer to move so didn't add a top ball.

Mine is reversible so you can hitch close or farther away and uses the drawbar to be able to use it to hitch also.

I like this design with two 2" receivers, from Omni Mfg. OMNI Mfg LLC

This is one of the ways that I have used it. There is 3,560 pounds on the ball, so the hitch is well built.

Here is the one I built about a month ago. I don't like most of the factory ones because they stick too far out the back. I think the chain hooks will come in handy.

Everyone's uses are different. I just tried to cover any use that I might have. Gooseneck ball on top, receiver holder so I can carry ball receiver and pin receiver, 2 3/8" chain hooks welded to the upright so I can pull from them, QH compatible.

I like the variety of attachments offered by Omni, but can't really afford them, so made my own. Adjusted of course to my tractor and needs. One thing I wanted was the drawbar, one of the end holes will be a ball put in permanently. I'm thinking I'll go back and add a couple of gussets, plus there are a few attachments I have in the planning phase, but here is where I'm at now.
