This is a set of loader forks I built for my 4100's 410 loader. I built them a while back, but have been getting questions on them, so I figured I'd do a post on them for everyone to see.

The first pic is of the assembled unit:

The forks I used. Came off a hand operated, hydraulic jack lift truck I found at the scrap yard. If you look closesly, you will notice that the forks are intended to ride on a round bar at the top. Not wanting that as a weak spot (you should have seen how bent up the one of the lift truck was) I notched it out to ride on a leg of an angle iron. I also added a "keeper" at the bottom to keep the fork on the frame and prevent the bottom from swinging away from the frame. All in all, works good.

Frame back side. The small angles are 2x2x3/8, the large are 3x5x1/4, the tubing is just a gaurd and not necessary.

The two vertical 2x2 angles, I used to stiffen the upper and lower fork rails. Don't know if I needed them or not, but figured that it wouldn't hurt. I welded it all together with my little Lincoln 110V wire feed welder. I have lifted 800# with no problems. The only thing I have not done is to add the pins to the bottom to hold it tight to the JD quick tach arms. Right now, the forks will teeter on the top pins if I tilt the forks too far forward, which hasn't been a problem.
