Default Second project( tooth bar)

I built this tooth bar out of 1/4 x 4" mild steel, I bought the teeth and adapters form Fabco, about $ 96.00 total.

I had to drill a 3/8" hole and put a roll pin in to hold the teeth on but it worked well

Looks Good!
Did you purchase direct from Fabco?
What size are the teeth?
Did you have to put flat stock under the bucket?
Thats a great project to weld up!
Happy digging!

My next project!

I have the Fabco catalogue and price list in front of me!
Planning to order any day now.
What part# are you using?
Looks like your spacing is about 6"? on what size bucket?

Also would the teeth not be better flipped to have hardened sides up? (maybe I'm ignorant on this topic)

Nice job you did there. I hope you don't do what I did with my toothbar by using such thin metal. I was popping large stones with mine and twisted it to shreds. I need to move up to 1/2 steel plate.

Excellent job! Did you use the predrilled holes for the wear edge?

I used the 8103c teeth and the D58499 adapters, you need to make sure the width of the slot on the adapters fits over the front of the bucket plus the thickness of the steel you used to weld them to. I don't have any rocks around here, just dirt and clay, it digs very fast, I lower the bucket to level and the teeth stick below the bucket 1 1/4". I just drive forward and within 12' to 15' the bucket is full. I'm not sure of the spacing between teeth, I just evened all 8 teeth out the same distance apart, it would depend on the bucket width and number of teeth you get.

Looks Great!
Did you weld or bolt it to the bucket?
Do you have a link to Fabco?

At least the teeth match the dogs paintjob
Happy digging
