Default Quick attach loader bucket design

I am considering modifying my KMW loader on my Mahindra 4110. I want to be able to switch buckets. I only have one now, but I want to build a forklift / grapple attachment later. Would it be best to use an ATI skidsteer adapter or is there some other design that would allow me to buy attachments to use without modifying each attachment ? I don't really want to end up with the bucket moved out any farther in front of the tractor than I absolutely have to. Has any bought the ATI adapter plates?

I have an ATI plate on my Ford 2120. Have been using it for many years and works great. It is compatable with the standard SkidSteer plates and I wouldn't consider any other style- too limiting. I have the same style factory plate on my New Holland TN and share many attachments. They are readily available.
