Backhoe - Trailer Receiver Hitch & Boom Pole
Here is a Saturday project I dreamed up for lack of something better to do. The mud here is REALLY bad so can't do much outside on the homestead so I worked in the shop on this project.
Please see all the attachments for the complete project.

Re: Backhoe - Trailer Receiver Hitch & Boom Pole
The advantage of having a receiver hitch to the backhoe is that I can make a varity of attachments for it. The possibilities are endless. So Here is the fabrication process for the boom pole.

Re: Backhoe - Trailer Receiver Hitch & Boom Pole
OK so next question is what is this guy thinking?
I need to get wood into my huge house to keep my wife and I warm by the fire.
The main floor of the house is about 5 feet above grade level so there are stairs to carry the wood up. My knees are giving out so this is the mother of all inventions for me. This is a pic of the boom pole lifting up the wood for me up to the back porch.
