$300.00 Quick Attach forks for Hayseed\'s Kubota

I built this for Hayseed. The material cost was three hundred dollars, two fifty for the fork assembly at a scrap yard and fifty dollars worth of "etc".

(We swapped labor. He did my Monster Garage audition video and I'm still trying to catch up.)

They came off of one of those material handlers you see in wherehouses like HD or Lowes.

But I think it's just the right size for a fifty horse Kubota.

They don't spread apart real wide but they'll work a lot better than a bucket for handling a pallet.

I don't know why. But when I pull a set from the pile they come out reasonably straight and in good shape. But when I have them do it. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

So it's trim it back to basics. This one if for Blue Ox, bud's TC40.

A couple of pieces of two inch schedule forty pipe (2 3/8) and we now have a straight back for a set of forks.

If you can find a similar assembly at your local scrap yard or already have one (okee don) then it isn't much to make it into something you can use on your own tractor. If you're looking at a tractor and Quick Attach is available it's worth the investment.

As always, nice job. Gotta start keeping some of this stuff a secret though. The scrap places near me don't keep as much on hand. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Seems to bother the expensive neighbors. Next thing you know, the prices will skyrocket like pickups and diesel fuel have. Oh wait, never mind, they already have. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
