The shop crane transition

Was wondering what I could do with my shop crane after the boys left home. This crane is very versitle on the the back of my JD750 with little work. It is totally adjustable especially with my T&T.

Nice job. So do you think the drawbar or your lift arms are the weak link? Any counterweight on front to keep wheels on ground?

Thanks. It seems to work better after I painted it JD green

Have about 90lbs hanging on the front. Think the lift arms would go before the draw bar does. Only try to lift what the 3pt would lift. The top link will lift much more than that but try not to do that so I don't break anything.

This worked great in putting a 1,500lb picnic table together. A real back saver. My wife is my helper and she loves it

Nice adaptation of the standard shop crane that's available from many sources.

For any out there who may want to build your own shop crane, or just the parts needed to make the one shown here, How-To-Plans.com has very detailed plans for sale. I bought a copy and plan on doing something based on them even though I have one of the 2 ton shop cranes already.

Got 2 tables at a school auction for $26 plus I had to buy the bolts

They aren't going to blow away.

Only one that bid on them. Guess everyone else thought they were to heavy. It was the excuse I was looking for to retro my crane. Had been thinking about doing that for a while.

Thanks. My wife, JD 750 and I put alot of work into the place and it seems to never end.

I like my cooler holder too. It's out of the way and easy to get to especially when it gets to 115 degrees.
