Does this look like a good deal ?

2005 JOHN DEERE 4320 For Sale at TractorHouse.com

2005 John Deere 4320, hydro, with 400X loader, rear SVC, and 330 hours.

What types of things could you do with a 4000 series that you couldn't do with a 3000 series ?

What size of tractor would you need before you could start to pull a 12' disk and actually do some field work?

I appreciate your input, the more I shop, the more options I discover and the tougher the decision becomes.

Have a good weekend.

Beavis, it depends on the type of ground and the type of disk that you have. Me, I pull my 12' offset disk with a D6, and it is all that it will do to pull it in 3rd gear. This other guy that I know has to use a D8 to pull his 12' disk, and he usually uses a D9 because the D8 has to work to hard to pull it. His disk has 40" blades and weighs around 30,000 lbs. My disk has 22" blades, weighs about 4,000 lbs. When I pull it, it is digging in 8"-9", that is a lot of drag. There are guys on TBN that pull 10'-12' disks with 50-60hp wheel tractors. I don't know how, except that they must have tandem disks with smaller blades and a lot harder ground than I have.

No I would not buy that John Deere to pull my 12' disk, it would not do it.;)

Good luck with your decision, what ever it is.
