Yes, this is what I stated in post #39 above.

When trying to communicate and understand anything technical, it is
important to understand and agree to the jargon used. Sometimes definitions
are needed as part of the discussion; sometimes we rely on established
unspoken definitons.

On the subject of jerky HST control, all of the HSTs I have operated
have some sort of damper on the GO pedal or pedals. The older tractors
I owned with HST were a bit jerky, more so in higher ranges. This was
due, at least in part, to a worn damper. My new machines have all been
very smooth, and they are not even the more sophisticated HST-plus
or eHydro, or other newer generation HST.
