Okay these companies are not making it easier on me. I just got a offer from New Holland on the 30 horse (T1510 W/ FEL, loaded r4's and 60 MMM for 0 % over 5 years. Also taking not hit on my TZ trade in. These is a nice machine of course and will help me get a lot done faster but when heavy work is done 5 yrs. or so it will be too big for my property but I will then fully own this one and can decide what to do then.
Kubota B2620 (more rightly sized for my property) But really only 75 % of the tractor mentioned above (as far as weight power etc...) this would have loaded r4's 60 MMM drive on (coinvience) FEL and a B.H. for 6 yrs. 4.25 % and taking a 1500 hit on my current TZ trade. Payments would be N.H. 342.00 a month 5 yrs. and Kubota 380 a month for 6. What to do Help Please |

Since I don't know the size of your property and what chores you want to do it would be difficult to choose.
However: you don't say the Blue one has a BH (maybe that is included with T1510 I don't know ), which is something I would like to have on my B-2910 and 20A Leave off the BH and see what payments would be.

To me, for a property overhaul I'd get the NH now since it's more machine.
Which do you need more now though? ... the backhoe or more tractor?

As far as what is needed now I guess thats hard to answer. I am in no rush to get this work done as I have 3 children under the age of 12 and between coaching and playing in baseball leages myself my time to do this work is pretty limited. Plus I enjoy this work a lot so I like to do it. And w/ only 2.75 acres if I get it done in 2-3 years than I will get bored and want to move again which will lead to divorce. We have moved 3 times in 9 years all for more house/property. Started with .25 acre to .50 of an acre and now 2.75 acres. I have the house of my dreams now so I want to stay and be happy but dont want to become bored to quickly My backhoe needs would be planting of around 50 trees in very hard clay like soil, retaining walls in a couple of areas on possibly if I had it a pond, ripping out stumps and wild bushes in my woods etc... What do you think??

I purchased a NH TC 30 w/FEL in Jun 2004 and love it. The TC 30 is the previous nomenclature for the T1510. I have 10 acres and, like you, have had to do lots of work to get it to where I want it to be.
If your stumps are large, I'd say that would be anything over 5" in diameter, then you'll need a BH ... and renting is certainly a great option as opposed to buying. I rented one for $200 a day last year and made quick work of the all my large stumps (about 20). The TC 30 has done everything else I've need done so far, but I do plan to rent a BH again later this summer to do some trenching. I bush hog, grade, plant trees, dig postholes, move hay, manure, debris, gravel, and dirt, and even dig shallow trenches using my TC 30 and assorted attachments. Reading your post leads me to believe you'll be better off with the NH. Smaller is not always better, even on a small plot of land.

Right,
I have a buddy on 2-1/2 acres who has a 354 Kama (35hp) and sometimes he needs more tractor. Can you get the backhoe in the same NH package with the same zero financing? Plus, the TZ trade will help offset a bit. A backhoe is one of those implements that once you have one, you'll find a million things that you needed it for. Renting is OK, but if my time was as valuable as yours (wife and kids), I'd hate to take time to arrange for a rental, go get it when they're open, use it on the weekend, have to return it when the rental yard is open again on Monday. I'd rather have it sitting on the back of my tractor or in the barn. Tell your wife you are being considerate so you can spend more time with them by getting one instead of all that running around. That is just my opinion though. ![]()

I agree on the BH - get it! You'll find plenty of uses for it, including things you can't think of right now. For my money, I'd stay with the Kubota - sometimes too much tractor doesn't feel right. Think about what happens when you do something other than cut grass (ie: use the BH or FEL with a full load). More weight eats up more of your yard in a shorter time frame.
If you plan on taking your time to finish things, then you want a good looking yard to play in when you're not working. The smaller Kub will still do everything the heavier NH will do, just a little slower... |
