I am considering a used Kubota L2800 150hrs against new TYM 273. price is approx the same
My requiremens are: Snow removal 600ft step driveway. 30-40 trees various sizes need to be falled, bucked and moved. General landscaping rock removal, clearing of brush. Demolition and removal of old cabins. Foundations for new construction of out buildings. Total land size 2 acres Any thoughts on which would be the smarter move. Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated |

The TYM is a much nicer tractor. But, Kubota name and network are hard to beat. TYM is by no means a small company, and also has an international presence. But, will they survive in the U.S. market? So, to buy the TYM would come with some risk. Will you be able to get parts in 10 years?. Resale value will be lower for the TYM also (at least in the near term). I really like the T273. I'm hoping TYM is a live and well in the U.S. 10 years from now. Then I might be looking to buy a used T273
. So buy the TYM.....for my sake Otherwise, Kioti rules! |
