Trying to decide between the New Holland TT60A and the Mahindra 4530, both 4wd.

NH TT60A $25,995 0% for 36 months with $2,100 down.
-Includes Brush Hog 3545 Loader
-8x2 Syncro

Mahindra 4530 $21,900 0% for 36 months with $2,200 down
-Includes ML245 Loader
-8x8 Syncro

The NH to me seemed like a real tractor but I didn't do anything but sit in it. They might not be exactly the same HP wise but these are the ones the dealer had on his lot. The price on the NH seems high from other places I've seen, what about the Mahindra?

I have 20 acres that these would mainly be used on, brush hogging and occasional loader work.

I can get these mowers with the tractors:

Ag-Meier Brave 6' for $1,179

Land Pride RCR2672 6' for $1,375

I was initially going to purchase and almost bought the TT60A, but the dealer wouldn't work with me much on pricing either. I then talked to a nearby Kubota dealer who was more than willing to work on price to move his product so I ended up with a new MX5100 FWD with FEL and 2 rear hydraulic's. They had 0% for 42 months. I am very happy with the purchase but only about 6 hours on so far. Works great with my Bush Hog SQ172 and FEL is very easy to operate. I don't have any knowledge of the other tractor so I can't help you there. The TT60A had slightly better HP and more weight than the Kubota, but the Kubota is very manuverable, appears to be built very sturdy, and fits my needs well. Good luck with your decision.

Seems maybe a little high on the TT60A- I had a quote, granted it was 6 months ago, for 21.5k for a 4wd TT60A with loader.
You sure you don't want something bigger as far as the mower, how many acres are you mowing?

Just 18 acres, I've got an 86 hp ford with cab at my 260 acres that I'm looking for a bigger mower on....

I might check out the kubota dealer, he's right next door to the NH & Mahindra, not sure why I didn't stop by last time....

I think what you need to do is compare apples to apples. I believe that the Mahindra 6030 is more of a match to the TT60A.

There's a difference of about 14 engine hp between these two tractors you're looking at (56 hp for the TT60A versus 42.5hp for the Mahindra). That's significant.

My new Mahindra 5525 (55 hp engine, 45 hp pto) more nearly matches the TT60A in engine hp. However, my 5525 is 2WD. With the ML250 FEL (6-ft wide bucket) I paid $19.1K for my 5525.

According to the Tractor Blue Book, the approximate retail price (new) of the 2007 Mahindra 4530 with 2WD is $19.4K without FEL. So $21.9K price quote with FEL seems OK to me. The corresponding number for the 2007 TT60A with 4WD and no FEL is $18K. Makes that Brush Hog FEL look pretty pricy.

However, the Mahindra 4530 weighs 5700 lb compared to about 5000 lb for the NH TT60A. And the Mahindra 3 pt hitch can outlift the NH (3968 vs 2930 lb).

So, when all's said and done, I have only one firm data point for you, the $19.1K I paid for my Mahindra 5525. Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

I realize the hp isn't the same, for me anything 40hp+ will do. I am mainly wanting to know which tractor would be more preferred and what a fair price would be. The sheet I have says deduct $4,500 for no loader, on either tractor.

I may have to go to the kubota dealer when I head over there again.

It's nearly impossible to find the model you want on the internet with all of the choices the manufacturers have.
