| Re: Tractorbynet Classifieds If it's legit, it's a great deal. I guess after seeing so many scams, we all get weary.

| Re: Tractorbynet Classifieds you ever notice how those "too good to be true deals" are always priced at $8,000? doesn't matter what kind of tractor it is, old or new, big or small, they always are selling them for $8,000. the price of $8,000 has become a tipoff for me latley. why not ask $8,200 or why not $8,900? why give such a round price? seems that the scammers would wise up, but apparently they think we are all that stupid and won't catch this. |

| Re: Tractorbynet Classifieds I have to agree with Rollingfarms and the others. That is the classic sting. Whatever they are selling is always in storage or somefar off distant place as far from your place as possible. He probably agreed to pay for the shipping also. Typical Send me the money and I will get my Uncle, cousin, lawyer etc to get it out for you. If he can do that after the sale, why cant he do it before you sent your check so you can inspect test etc.. If I were you I would put a stop payment on that check till I went and looked at that tractor, otherwise your going to be out $8k and you will never see that tractor.
If it is legit, he should not mind ifyou want to look at it. Even if you have no intention of travelling xxx miles to do it, just ask to do it and see what response you get. |
