batreg,
Click here for info about Allis Chalmers. Allis Chalmers is now manufactured under the Agco Allis name. Parts can be found for the older A/C's usually pretty easy over the internet, and sometimes locally. I usta have a early 60's model D-12 gas and could get most my engine electric parts at most auto parts stores. The 5030 is a diesel so you probably will have to mail order most of the parts. Hope this helps.
P.S. Check out http://www.allischalmers.com for the unofficial Allis Chalmers Discussion board.Thats where I hung out when I had my Allis.

It has the same engine as my MF 220. Good luck in finding parts if you ever need them. I always get the 'obsolete' answer. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

I always got the "NLA" (no longer available) answer when trying to locate parts for my old AC 720.

Sure AGCO still sells tractors. Collectively the were the biggest until the Case/IH New Holland merger.
AGCO owns Massey Ferguson and others. But they call the orange tractors AGCOs instead of Allis Chalmers.

Now, I'm gonna stick my neck out a little. I may have to be corrected, but I believe the reason they do not still use the Allis Chalmers name is that the name was sold off with an Allis Chalmers industrial equipment devision years ago during the mid 80s sell off and mergers. The original Allis Chalmers made a bewildering scope of products including large electric generators and ocean ship engines..
