2008 New Holland TC 35

A New Hampshire NH dealer has around 40 2008 TC35's that have just come off lease. They are all 12X12 shuttle shifts; some have aggie tires, some have industrial tires. Hours run between 200 and 300. The dealer will install a new NH FEL w/quick release. Price w/FEL is $22,000. There is a choice of incentives: either $1750 cash back, or 0% financing. I'd go the cash back route, which brings the price to $20,250.

The machines have been on a 4-month lease where they were used as tow vehicles and have factory warranty.

My question: Are these leased machines a good deal? My first impression is that the price is too close to the retail for a 2009 T2310 w/hydro (about $24,000 with cash back. The T2310 has 40hp, and the hydro is about $1800)).

I've read this site for a while and it's been quite helpful. It's getting close to "buying time" for me and a new tractor is looking like the better deal.

I would look at a nearly new tractor like a nearly new car. You drive it off the lot you loose 25% or so. I think the price is too close to the cost of a new tractor. I would not go for it unless its super clean and you get nearly 25% off.

It surely wouldn't hurt to offer $18k for one and see how bad they need to sell those tractors....seems to me like they'd want to get rid of that many of the same thing pretty quick.

I think the hydro alone is worth the difference in price for a new one.

Make an offer on a new one with hydro and the loader. Maybe go down the road to another dealer and see how he is going to meet the competition.

I'm not sure there were any TC35A's built in 2008. NH has changed model designations twice since TC's were produced, and I can't keep track of the changes. About all they do is change the decals.

my wife's uncle called me last night and found an 03, tc40 with 290 hours, no loader, extra hyd. outlets, brush guard, 12x12 gear, etc. for $11,500.....thinks he can get it for 11

Way too pricey for a 35 hp shuttle shift tractor weighing 3350 lb with several hundred engine hours.

My 2008 Mahindra 5525 (54 hp engine, 45 hp pto, 2WD, partial constant mesh tranny, 5370 lb w/o the FEL or loaded tires) with a ML250 FEL (6 ft bucket) and skid steer quick attach on the FEL was around $18K plus tax.

A deal on a 2003 Agco from a private seller has come through and I've decided to stick with used equipment. I've now got about $10,500 in a ST35 w/shuttle shift and I'm liking the distance between the current selling price and the $21,000 it originally sold for.

Thanks for the responses. It's pretty clear that those lease deals are not all that great.
