This may seem like a stretch but here are my question:
There are two tractors that have caught my attention;
1.1999 JD 4600 4WD 836 hrs loader and 6' rotary shredder.
$13,500
2. 1979 JD 2240 with 145 loader 4500 hrs
This may sound like a no brainer but stay with me:
The 2240 is like NEW Completely refurb. $3000 in new parts
Nice big R4 rear tires new paint The 145 loader completely
rebuilt. etc
Tractor #1 is not even close to the 4600 in the way they were
built. The 2240 was built in Germany. The 4600 ???
Don't get me wrong, the 4WD is very inviting also low hours
Price not much different. smaller loader

To bad I cant drive either as they ate 2000 mi apart and I'm in the middle.
Its hard to think that someone out there has had both of these tractors
but maybe!
