Default 1993 Ford 2120 or 2002 TC33

New old guy here.

I am going to buy one of the above.

The Ford:
2825 hours;FEL; Bush Hog and snow blade included for $10,000.

The TC33
625 hours; FEL no other equipment come with it. $11,954.

Primary use will be for firewood cutting and snow removal. I will probably not keep Bush Hog.

Tractors I have owned: Case 885 Diesel; 20 HP Mahindra I forget which model I owned; Massey Ferguson 135; Ford Jubilee; Ford 8N.

Your input and observations appreciated.

The tractors are barely comparable. Do you need the size of the 2120, or not? Does the 2120 have HSS? It is probably overpriced, surely so if it is a straight gear drive tractor.

Rick
You are correct about the two tractors barely being comparable. I have done a comparison from Tractor Data for both. The Ford is HSS. I appreciate your comments about it being over priced. I find it hard to find accurate values for tractors.
As far as need, I don't need either one. Will mainly be dragging wood and loading fire wood and managing 30 acres of woods. Secondary will be moving snow from my drive and my neighbors.
Thanks for your input.

I owned both Ford and New Holland. The Ford was way more tractor than New Holland.

can't speak for the TC, but my friend has a 2120. I've used it ALOT, and I love the HSS shuttle shift. It's a very strong machine, with 2000 hours and no problems to speak of so far. Don't know what their worth though.

I feel the 2120 is priced way high. The TC33 in a nice machine. My dads neighbor has one and I use it around my dads place from time to time. It will have a much better resale.

I've had a 2120 for 12 years and love it. Used it in my woods considerably and don't know what I'd do without it. Every task I've asked of it has been performed beyond my expecations. Never been in for repairs. Just added 3 more remotes to it this year for additional tasks. Can't imagine ever parting with it.

I've had a 2120 since 1987 and love it. It still starts and runs like new. Prior to that I had a 1710 which is probably similar in size to the TC33. The 2120 is a serious size tractor based on frame size. The more modern machine build on the same frame is the TC55. It can do many things with ease that a TC33 can't touch.
I wouldn't sell my 1987 2120 for $10k as there is nothing out there I could get for anywhere near the money to replace it.
