I have a kubota b2100 HST but does not have a FEL. Been looking to add a loader to it. Just saw on Craiglist the JD 855 with A70 loader, 5' mower and asking price 6900 with 1457hrs on it. Should I buy this trac or pay 3,100 for the Koyker 120 added to my b2100. Kubota dealer here told me my tractor wholesale is about 3500. Please help.

The 855 is a great tractor. However, you have no idea how the current owner maintained or operated it. That's a $6900 risk.
Go take a look at it (doubt it lasts long), but the Koyker loader is the lower risk. You know how your Kubota has been maintained.
Good luck with your decision!

Thank you Roy, I called and was told the tractor has been repainted and "everything works". He will take 6500. Problem is tractor is 300 miles from me and it is snowing in OK.

Here is some on TractorHouse to compare...Is this a dealer or private sale?

Yep...how badly do you want to see this tractor?
If you do make this trip, have enough cash on you to do the deal and bring the tractor back.
But I'll tell ya...I bought my 790 from a dealer 350 miles away...but from a dealer.
I had confidence and the risk was shared since they delivered (also, the 790 only had 24 hours on it). Your seller is 300 miles away, and a private owner. To me, that's a substantial risk...even for a tough little beast like an 855.
The question you need to ask yourself is "am I happy with my Kubota? And do I feel confident in it's longevity to add a loader?"
Heck, you might be better off trading your B2100 on a Kubota with a loader.

Since KennyD posted...good question, is the 855 4WD or 2WD? Loaders on small tractors aren't so hot with 2WD.

Thank you Roy and Kenny for your inputs. First off, the jd 855 is 1988k 4x4 hst and is private owner. My b2100 has been nothing but trouble free last 10 years. The only thing I wish sometimes it has little more power and the FEL.

The 855 has 24 Engine HP and 19 at the PTO.
Your B2100 has 21 engine HP and 17 at the PTO.
You will not be seeing a substantial power increase.

It's probably time you talk to your Kubota dealer about trading up for a 30 HP machine with a loader.
I'm a Deere guy (kinda), but I wouldn't pay $6500 for a 21 year old tractor with 3 more HP then my current machine...no matter what colour the tractor is.

Well, dealer here offered 4500 for my b2100 if I buy the BX2660 la243 loader and mmm for 13,250. Should I do it?

"Should I do it?" is a question only you can answer. You'll have a couple more engine and PTO HP which may or may not be noticable in your tasks.
It would be a new tractor with full warranty (which is nice) and, unless you'd pay for the 855 cash, you'll probably get better financing (lower monthly payment). I can tell you banks don't consider tractors a good investment so don't expect help there (if you went for the 855).
So, now you have to decide if the BX2660 will fit your needs and budget. As written, only you can decide that...

Personally, I'd go for the new tractor...just not sure if the BX2660 is the correct choice.

Good luck!
